1. At the 2026 Brussels Motor Show, the compact EV2 debuted as an accessible, space-rich electric SUV offering up to 278 miles of range and advanced EV features, alongside the unveiling of new high-performance GT variants that expand Kia’s electric lineup.

2. In 2025, BMW Group grew global sales to 2.46 million vehicles, with electrified models in high demand—particularly in Europe, where fully-electric vehicles surged 28%—highlighted by over 442,000 BEVs delivered worldwide and MINI celebrating its 100,000th fully-electric vehicle.

3. At the 2026 Detroit Auto Show, Stellantis highlighted its EV lineup by unveiling electrified models including the all-electric Jeep Recon, the Ram 1500 REV range-extended EV, and the FIAT 500e Giorgio Armani Collector’s Edition, while also showcasing advanced hybrids, multi-energy performance vehicles, and announcing a $13 billion U.S. investment to expand production and create 5,000 jobs.

New Mexico is backing a major EV manufacturing expansion as GreenPower Motor Company establishes a Santa Teresa operations and headquarters hub, creating more than 340 jobs, generating over $200 million in economic impact, and supporting the state’s clean energy and zero-emission transportation goals.

8. A major EV-supply-chain boost was reported by Canada Nickel, which increased measured and indicated resources at its Reid Nickel Sulphide Project by 46% to 2.1 million tonnes of contained nickel, strengthening long-term battery materials supply for EVs.

Starting in 2027, BMW M will introduce fully electric high-performance models that combine Neue Klasse technology, four-motor all-wheel drive, advanced control systems, and sustainable materials to redefine racetrack-ready driving dynamics, everyday usability, and the brand’s iconic “Ultimate Driving Machine” experience.
